When things are going well in our lives,
it’s easy to be grateful. But it can be
difficult to stay positive and grateful
when we’re going through tough times.
Still, even in what seems to be the worst
situation, you should look for reasons
to be thankful. Next time your brother
or sister annoys you, try to make a list
of the things you are grateful for about
him or her. Next time you can’t buy what
you want from the store, remember all
of the great things you’ve got at home.
Or, remember those less fortunate who
don’t have anything at all. If kids at school
make fun of you, remember-things could
be worse. You could be them! People
who are grateful are usually happier with
themselves and others. And there are
lots of things to be grateful for:

Being alive. Honor and appreciate
the miracle of life.

The wonders of nature. There is beauty
all around us-rejoice in it.

The people in your life. There are
lessons to be learned from all.

The ability to forgive. It is the key
to your happiness.

Your successes and your failures. You
can learn much from both.

Gratefulness is magical-the more you
are grateful for today, the more you will
find you are grateful for tomorrow.
